Christina Calleros, RDH, MS
Calleros earned her bachelor's in 2004 and a master's in dental hygiene from UNM in 2016. As an assistant professor and coordinator of the junior student clinic, she teaches pre-clinical and clinical instruction to junior and senior classes in areas of head and neck anatomy, dental health education and pre-clinical seminars. In addition to teaching continuing education classes for dental professionals, Calleros has extensively practiced clinical dental hygiene in private practice, public health and school-based programs. She currently practices dental hygiene at the Camino de Salud Dental Clinic.
Calleros most recently conducted research on the teaching of cultural competency in dental hygiene academia. Her other research interests include health literacy and faculty calibration.
